Ingunn Sigurpálsdóttir appointed CEO of Auðna - TTO Iceland

Auðna TTO Iceland has appointed Ingunn Sigurpálsdóttir as the new CEO. She succeeds Einar Mäntylä, who was involved in founding Auðna and has worked tirelessly over the past six years to build up its operations. Ingunn took on the role on May 1, 2025, and will lead the continued growth and development of Auðna, which plays a key role in Iceland’s innovation and research ecosystem by helping the academic and scientific community transfer inventions and applicable research results to society in the form of solutions, value creation, and increased competitiveness.

Before stepping into the role of CEO, Ingunn served as Auðna’s Head of Marketing and Finance. She brings extensive and diverse experience in management, marketing, and finance from the Icelandic business sector, providing her with valuable insight into how to support entrepreneurs, strengthen collaboration, and drive success in the innovation environment. Ingunn holds a B.Sc. degree in Engineering Management from Reykjavík University and has further strengthened her expertise through specialised courses in project management, digital marketing, and event management.
