This Invention Disclosure Form is intended for academics/researchers to disclose their invention created through research and development activities. By completing this form, you provide Auðna and your university/institute with a comprehensive description of your invention/innovation, including its concept, technical details, and potential applications.
It is important that an empoyee notifies its university or institution if there are indications that their project could lead to a patentable invention/innovation.
It is also important to report innovation opportunities based on research findings that have been, or will continue to be, developed using the university's or institution's facilities, equipment, and financial resources.
Please provide as much detail as possible about the invention/innovation, the problem it solves, and the technical innovation it represents. If applicable, include any related research, publications, or prior art. It is also important to disclose any grants, funding, or collaborations associated with the development of the invention.
The information you submit will be used to assess the patentability, commercial viability, and potential for licensing or further development.
The information you provide will remain confidential and will be used solely for the purpose of evaluating and protecting the intellectual property rights associated with the invention.
This notification is in accordance with Article 5 of the Act No. 72/2004 on Employee Inventions, which stipulates the obligation of employees to notify their employer of inventions related to their work.
